Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) were first introduced in October 2008 as part of Home Information Packs (HIPs). Following a change in Government policy announced in May 2010 HIPs were abolished. It is, however, still a requirement to provide an EPC on all properties for sale, a copy of which must be attached to the sales particulars. If you already have an EPC, we will require a copy to keep on record and display the energy graphs on our sales literature.

Before marketing can commence an EPC must be commissioned and paid for and must be available within 28 days of marketing at the latest.

At Castlewick we have our own fully qualified Domestic Energy Assessors who produce the Energy Performance Certificates. We therefore expect there to be little or no delay in arranging an EPC so as to ensure that a property for sale with Castlewick is placed on the market fully compliant with current regulations.
